Join Us!!! We need skaters, refs, volunteers

Please come to any of our open practices so you can see what it's all about. We have all levels of skaters: from just starting to skate to experienced. We do have some loaner (skates & gear) items if you need them.

If you decide, roller derby is for you; you will need speed skates, knee pads, elbow pads, wrist guards, helmet (gear is skateboarder style), mouth guard (1.00-1.99 at any sport store) and bottled water.

Our practices.... Note: December is our hiatus period (call for schedules)

Regular Practices start January 2010 with schedule below

Monday night 7:30-9:30 pm
Wednesday nights 7:30-9:30 pm (Scrimmage skills-need refs to attend)
Sunday nights or mornings (time varies) Please call or text 714-925-8353 if you would like to attend for the latest times.

Reffing FAQS

What do we need? Refs

Do I have to skate? No, there are also NSO positions available.

Do I have to have quad skates? No, all skates are welcome but quads are preferred.

How many practices MUST I attend during the week? Best to come to at least 1 or more (more is preferred)

Which ones? Wednesday nights are best for learning game

Do I need gear? If you skate, you need full gear which includes wrist guards, elbow pads, knee pads, helmet and mouth guard.

Do I need certain insurance? If you plan to be a skating ref, general medical insurance and then you MUST have USARS after you are qualified to skate. League covers the cost of USARS for ACTIVE league referees.

What does it cost? Time and the cost of your own gear.

Are there dues? Not for referees
